In outstanding, excellent condition. The medal is completely free of wear visible to the naked eye and has only a few microscopic contact marks. The raised details are perfect and crisp on both sides. The original "gilt" mint luster is practically pristine and extremely bright on the obverse, while the reverse shows a very minimal amount of tarnish that adds character, no significant blemishes or oxidation spots. The perfectly preserved ribbon shows age, although it is more recent than the medal itself. The connecting link appears to be of the period.
Overall, a superb example of one of the earliest Soviet post-war medals.
