The reverse depicts a monument with inscription "Baikonur" in two languages (interestingly, the Latin version is an unconventional spelling "Baykonoor"). There is a logo of the Moscow Mint at approximately 6 o'clock on the reverse; next to it are the initials of the two medalists who created the artwork, A. Shekhoyan and G. Ognev. The medal comes in its original unmarked cardboard storage box, exactly as issued by the Mint.

This 1990 piece is one of the last table medals of the Soviet era. A total of 3200 were struck.

In excellent condition, free of significant scratches, bumps or other noticeable flaws. The box is likewise perfect, shows only storage age.
