In silver; measures 37.3 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 32.1 mm in width; weighs 21.2 g without the suspension and connecting link. Featuring a flat rather than rounded profile of the eyelet, this is the earlier and by far the rarer of the two sub-variations in silver.

Both sides of the medallion show a very attractive patina. Comes on original brass suspension with a perfectly preserved old ribbon. The connecting link appears to be original, and its ends are still joined with solder.

This piece is the first original example of the rare "Flat Eyelet" sub-variation we have seen in several years.
