Order of the Red Banner of Labor, Type 3, Variation 1 "jumbo", #42867, with a document, awarded in June 1947 to Vasiliy Dokuchaev.

The order is in silver gilt and enamels; 50.9 mm in height including the eyelet, 37.7 mm in width. Features mint mark in straight lines, over 8 mm in width. According to Mondvor.narod.ru, the currently known serial number range for this sub- variation is 35667 through 49642.

In outstanding, excellent condition - very uncommon to find for such an early issue. The enamel is flawless and retains beautiful luster. The gilt has only minimal wear to the high points, overall very well preserved. The details are perfect. Very attractive toning to silver. Comes on original WW2 suspension, a two-layer model in steel with self-locking pin, with a recent, lightly used ribbon. The connecting link is original and has not been cut. The order booklet was filled-out on 12 August 1947. It shows only one decoration, the Red Banner of Labor. Based on the 1 July 1947 date for the start of the special privileges, the decoration was bestowed during the previous month of June.

The booklet is in very good condition. The cloth cover shows only minimal wear; the gold impression of the state seal and writing is nice and bright. The binding is tight. There is mild staining to the inside cover and first page, and a tiny tear to the bottom of the first page, but the text is completely intact and legible.
