Silver gilt, enamels; measures 47.9 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 37.2 mm in width; weighs 36.5 not including the suspension and connecting link. Based on available mint records, this specimen was manufactured at some point between 1951-1953 at the Leningrad Mint.
In excellent condition. The enamel is flawless: it shows beautiful luster and has no wear visible to the naked eye, just some microscopic
contact marks that are not easy to find even with a 10x loupe. The details of the artwork including the hammer & sickle emblem are perfect and
crisp; the gilt finish is beautifully preserved and bright. Comes on original suspension, a two-layer model in steel with integral catch of
the pin. The old, probably original ribbon has some faint stains but is still sound and overall attractive (we think that it adds character to
the award, but just in case the new owner prefers a new ribbon, we've added a sufficient length of it on the side at no extra charge.) The
connecting link appears to be original, and its ends are still joined with solder.
