In very fine to excellent condition. The enamel shows beautiful luster and appears almost perfect to the unaided eye. A careful examination under a 10x loupe reveals a tiny surface flake at the tip of the upper left arm and a couple of even smaller flakes at the upper edge of the upper right arm. To reiterate, these are not easy to notice without magnification. There are also some microscopic contact marks that are completely invisible without magnification, no rubbing or excessive wear of any kind. The center medallion is nearly pristine and shows beautiful dark patina; its raised details are beautifully preserved and crisp. Just like the obverse, there is very attractive dark patina to silver on the reverse. The screw post is full length, over 12 mm, and includes original wartime screw plate.
