In brass, 32.8 mm tall (incl. eyelet), 25.8 mm wide. The obverse is dominated by a sitting female figure; her chair is inscribed "Free Russia" whereas the flag she is holding in the right hand has motto "Long Live the Democratic Republic!" To the left of the figure of Russia is a worker breaking her chains on an anvil. A curious feature of this jetton is maritime motif in the lower right consisting of an anchor, heart and cross. This possibly indicates that the jetton was intended for sailors or port workers.

The reverse shows stylized date "1917", intricate florals and manufacturer's logo "D. Kuchkin Factory, Moscow". The jetton is in excellent condition, far better than the average. The raised artworks is beautifully crisp, without the usual wear, dings or scratches. Nice even toning to brass; the obverse is completely free of blemishes whereas the reverse has only a few tiny spots that are not really detractive. A very nice and uncommon piece!
