The screw post has been slightly shortened for convenience but 7 mm remaining length is more than enough to ensure proper functionality. Includes original Type 1 screw plate in silver.

Unlike the Mozhaisky and Zhukovskiy Engineering academies which prepared technical cadres for the Soviet Air Force, the Red Banner Air Force Academy concentrated on training unit commanders. After WW2, many of the Soviet aces including Kozhedub and Pokryshkin studied there prior to obtaining top level leadership positions in military aviation. Among its alumni were also many famous cosmonauts and more than 70% of all the recipients of the titles of Honored Military Pilot and Honored Military Navigator of the USSR.
