Medal for the Liberation of Prague, Variation 1, late 1940s.
Medal for the Liberation of Prague, Variation 1, late 1940s.
In brass; 32.2 mm wide. Excellent condition. The medal shows only a few miniscule dings to the raised edge that are almost unnoticeable to the naked eye, no other visible wear. The raised details are perfect and crisp. There is just a single tiny spot near the edge on the obverse at approximately 10 o'clock, no significant oxidation. The original "gilt" mint luster is extremely well preserved and bright throughout. Comes on original suspension device, a WW2 two-layer model in brass with self-locking pin. The old ribbon is slightly faded but otherwise beautifully preserved and clean. Overall, an outstanding example!
