In very fine to excellent condition. There is a tiny flake to enamel at the top of the banner near the flagpole and a couple of microscopic flakes near the right edge (the latter are completely invisible to the unaided eye.) The enamel is otherwise perfect, free of rubbing and shows beautiful luster. The raised details are nicely preserved. There is minimal amount of tarnish in the recessed areas and on the reverse, not detractive. The screw post is full length, nearly 11 mm. Includes mint marked screw plate which is correct and roughly of the period although not necessarily original to this particular badge.
