M 1949 Leather Waist Belt with Hangers for Air Force
Dagger, dated 1950.
In fine quality light brown leather, with brass hardware.
Shows a manufacturer's stamp with a clearly visible 1950
date. The text appears to be in German which is consistent

produced in the early post-WW2 years in occupied Germany

Union. Measures 43" in overall length, easily adjustable to
almost any smaller size.
In excellent condition; comes complete with all the
buckles and carbine clips included. The leather is
beautifully preserved and shows nice "healthy" sheen, not
overly dry as is often the case with leather goods of the
period. The brass hardware is free of verdigris or dents.
This type of AF dagger belt was manufactured only until
1952, at which point it was replaced by a much cheaper to
produce belt in braided brown cotton. This extremely scarce
piece can be an excellent accoutrement to an early Air
