construction (the state emblem of Soviet Latvia is a separate
superimposed part), pin back attachment. The abbreviation RKT
stands for Rigas Kooperacijas Tehnikums, an associate degree
college level school that trained professional cadres such as
shopkeepers, cooks, bookkeepers etc. for Soviet small
cooperative workshops that were allowed in the Baltic
republics to much larger degree than elsewhere in the USSR.
