60th Anniversary of the USSR, Special Event Participant's Medal, 1982.

Silver gilt, enamels. The medallion is 21.4 mm wide, two-piece construction, with superimposed Lenin's bust. Overall weight with suspension is 11.4 g. Reverse of the suspension device shows "LMD" logo of the Leningrad Mint. The obverse is inscribed "60th Anniversary of the USSR. Moscow. Kremlin. 1982". The medal shows exquisite quality throughout.

In excellent condition. The enamel is perfect. There is tiny amount of wear to the Lenin's bas-relief, but its details remain well preserved and crisp. There is attractive patina to silver throughout, but the gilt finish is still clearly visible on all parts of the medallion and suspension.

This medal was issued exclusively to the attendees of the anniversary ceremony in Kremlin. Among them were members of the Supreme Soviet, top echelon of the Party leadership and prominent Communist leaders from around the world.
