Large size, 69" x 45". The canvas hoist sleeve shows a round
quality control stamp, designation "V.M.F" ("Navy"), maker
stamp of the Vladimirskaya Factory, and a 1990 date of
The flag shows only storage age and is in very good to
excellent overall condition. The colors are strong. There
are a few small moth bites to the blue field, but they are
completely insignificant considering the overall size of the
flag. The flag is very clean, with just a few minor spots
(including a couple of tiny blue spots near the bottom of
the beige field that may well be a manufacturing flaw, a
splatter of paint that came off the blue field).
This flag was clearly intended for one of the larger ships
in Soviet naval inventory but apparently never saw service
due to the collapse of the USSR in 1991.
