Medal for Valor, Type 2 Variation 1, #1753460, circa late 1944 - early 1945 issue.
In very fine condition. The lacquer in the letters is partly missing on the letters "CCCP" but is nicely preserved on the upper lines of the inscription where it shows only the typical craquelure and no chips. The raised details of the artwork are well-preserved and crisp. There are a few very minor dings and light bumps to the raised edge. The medallion is free of significant scratches, having only some tiny contact marks that are barely noticeable.

The medal comes on an early post-war suspension, a single-layer model in brass. The ribbon is old but nicely preserved. The connecting link has been cut but appears to be of the period.
