Bulgaria, Badge "For People's Liberty" of a WW2 Partisan or Member of the Communist Underground, circa 1950s.
Brass, silver plating, enamels; measures 35.0 mm in height. 37.2 mm in width. Fine quality, heavy 3-piece construction: the silvered center medallion and the band with inscription "For People's Liberty, 1923-1944" are separate parts superimposed on the red enameled star. Interestingly, of the two armed civilians depicted on the center medallion, the woman is the one holding a Soviet-made PPSh submachine gun.
Excellent condition. The enamel is perfect - which is uncommon for this badge - and shows a nice luster. The silver plating in the center is pristine. The screw post is
